The FCCLA chapters of Southern Alamance and Southeast Alamance met for a joint leadership conference today! After an energetic opening session, there were breakout sessions for community service planning, trivia, competition practice, and discussion about how to improve their chapters. It was wonderful to see both groups work and laugh together. The photo booth was a big hit! Shout out to students Sawyer and Olivia for planning this great conference. #StudentCenteredFutureFocused

Congratulations to Mr. Dylan Hatley! Mr. Hatley was selected as our Staff Member of the Month for November. Mr. Hatley led the Marching Stallions as they brought home the first trophies in school history! As a first year teacher, building a brand new band program this is a tough job. Mr. Hatley and his students worked tirelessly to put a competitive show on the field in their first year. The future of the band program is in good hands with Mr. Hatley and we are appreciative of all that he has done to get this program off the ground.

This #VeteransDay we're highlighting Matthew LaFuria, a veteran turned history teacher inspiring students at Southeast Alamance High School. After serving 19 years in the military, Matthew found his calling in teaching history and sharing his passion for the subject. Matthew's dedication to educating the next generation and serving his community represents the values we honor this Veterans Day. Thank you for your service, Matthew, and Happy Veteran's Day to our #ABSSCommunity. 🇺🇸 https://youtu.be/vHbir26l_tg
