Dress Code:
Anyone not dressed appropriately may be pulled out of line.

• Dress nicely.  

• No jeans or shorts should be worn.  

• Dresses/Skirts should not hang below the graduation gown.   

• Think about the shoes you wear.  If you elect to wear sandals, they should have a back strap.  

• NO SUNGLASSES

• Do not decorate your cap (ABSS policy); you will not be allowed to wear it

• The Only Honor Cords allowed to be worn at graduation are the cords distributed by SEHS or ABSS.

Board policy 3080 was adopted on January 14, 2020. This policy allows our school to recognize a larger number of students who have demonstrated high academic achievement. Beginning in 2023-24, high school principals shall designate the following senior honors:

1. Students with a 3.75 – 3.99 weighted grade point average shall receive the distinction of cum laude

2. Students with a 4.0 – 4.249 weighted grade point average shall receive the distinction of magna cum laude

3. Students with a 4.25 or higher weighted grade point average shall receive the distinction of summa cum laude

Each student who achieves this recognition will receive a medal indicating the honor level and each medal will be accompanied by a white ribbon.

The student earning the highest cumulative weighted grade point average in the graduating class each year shall be named as Valedictorian. This determination shall be made during the senior year at the end of the final grading period for the year.

The student earning the second highest cumulative weighted grade point average in the graduating class each year shall be named as Salutatorian. The determination shall be made during the senior year at the end of the final grading period for the year.

During WIN time on September 24th, the Class of 2025 will meet with our Herff Jones representative to discuss the process and timeline for ordering cap and gown, graduation announcements, and other graduation items. Herff Jones representatives will be back on Tuesday, October 1st to pick up orders from students.

We will also hold a Senior Parent Meeting on September 24th at 6:00 to review a timeline of events and deadlines for your child's Senior year.

• Option 1 - Full Senior Session 

  • This option includes the formal picture for the yearbook as well as several other informal pictures.  Students will need to bring several outfits to the photo session.  The sitting fee for this option is $39.99.

• Option 2 - Formal Pose Only Session

  • This option includes only the formal picture for the yearbook.  The sitting fee for this option is $19.99.

• Option 3 - Formal Pose Only Session (Make-Up Day)

  • This option includes only the formal picture for the yearbook.  The date of these pictures will be October 29th.  There is no sitting fee for this option, but if your child misses this date then there is no make-up and they will not have their picture in the yearbook.  If you wanted a formal picture you would have to schedule and pay for it separately.
