Southeast Families-
This is Eric Yarbrough, principal at Southeast Alamance High School.
Congratulations to our Concert Band and to our Visual Arts students. They both put on great shows last week. On Wednesday, Mr. Hatley and our concert band performed a wonderful spring concert that was full of beautiful and challenging music. Then on Thursday, Mrs. Lampson and our Visual Arts students put on a wonderful art expo. The creativity was on full display as you looked at the amazing artwork that had been produced by our students.
Our yearbooks have arrived and we gave them out on Thursday and Friday. If your child did not pick up their yearbook then have them stop by the gym concession stand on Tuesday during their lunch to pick up their yearbook. If you still want to order a yearbook, there are a few still available and you can order one at the link below.
We will administer teacher-made exams on Thursday and Friday of this week. We will run a normal daily schedule and all students will report to all classes. Students that are exempt from having to take any of these teacher-made exams should still report to school so that they are present for any state EOC and/or CTE exam reviews this week. Students that are exempt from their teacher-made exams will be counted absent if they are not at school. If students have a conflict with the exam schedule then please have them speak with their teacher.
All students (except seniors) are permitted to keep their chromebook and charger over the summer. If students choose to hold on to it, you are responsible for it. If it gets broken, you will have to pay to repair or replace any damage.
If you prefer to turn it in, you will need to give the chromebook and charger to Mr. Johnson in the library after you have completed all coursework and exams. If there is a chance you will not return to Southeast in the fall, we ask that you turn in your Chromebook and charger.
You will be billed for any damaged or missing devices. The costs are as follows:
Entire chromebook lost/stolen: $250
Charger lost/stolen: $23
Screen broken: $52
Keyboard missing keys: $59
The district approved the calendar for the 24-25 school year at their BOE meeting earlier this week. The approved calendar is linked below.
Breakfast and lunch are not free for all students. Our school currently has a negative balance of $3400. Please make sure that your child’s cafeteria account does not have a negative balance as we come to the end of the school year. You can add money to their lunch account online, by clicking the link below.
