Congratulations to Coach Aguilar and our football team on their win on Friday night over Cummings High School in the 2nd Round of the NCHSAA State Playoffs. This Friday, the team will travel to Clinton HS for their 3rd Round game. Please make plans to come out and support our football team.
We still have too many students that are getting to school late. Students are expected to be in their 1st period class at 8:45. Please make sure that students are dropped off by 8:40 in the morning.
Evening Academy has started, but it is not too late for you to join us! It is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15-6:30. This is a great opportunity for you to catch up on missing work, get tutoring in a core subject or recover credits from previous courses. You must provide your own transportation. Please contact Coach Williamson at brandon_williamson@abss.k12.nc.us if you are interested in attending our evening academy.
This week we will host basketball and wrestling events at Southeast. Please remember that we do have a clear bag policy for all extracurricular events. Please help us by ensuring that if you bring a bag that it is clear and meets our policy.
In order to stay up to date about your child’s grades and attendance, it is very important that you download the Powerschool Parent Portal App. HERE is all the information you need to download the app and set up its features. Finally, if you want to be a parent observer in your child’s Canvas courses then click here for instructions to set that up. If you have any questions please reach out to us.
Breakfast and lunch are not universally free for all students. If you would like your child to eat meals at school, you will either need to put money on their online account or you will need to secure a free/reduced lunch status by filling out the required form. The form is available in the office or you can fill it out online: https://www.lunchapplication.com/
