This is Eric Yarbrough, principal at Southeast Alamance High School. I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend.
We are three weeks away from the end of the 1st quarter grading period. Please take a minute to check your child’s grades online. The first quarter grading period will count 40% of your child’s final grade in the course. If you have any questions then please contact your child’s teacher.
We are excited to announce that we will hold our first ever Homecoming during the Week of October 16th. We will hold a Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 21st from 8:00 to 11:00. Tickets can be purchased online for $12.00. Ticket prices will increase to $15.00 on Monday, October 16th so please purchase homecoming dance tickets this week. Tickets can be purchased using the link below. Students that want to bring a guest from another school will need to complete a guest form that must be completed before their guest can attend. The forms are available in the Student Support Office.
ABSS will be holding an ABSS Family University which will give parents opportunities to learn about everything the district has to offer. The event will take place on Monday, October 16th at Cummings High School. The NC Governor's School Information Session will be held in conjunction with the ABSS Family University. This session will be delivered during the SECOND session time slot (6:50-7:30). In order to stay up to date about your child’s grades and attendance, it is very important that you download the Powerschool Parent Portal App. HERE is all the information you need to download the app and set up its features. Please let us know if we can help you.
Parking Permits are now available for the 23-24 School Year. They cost $30 and they are nonrefundable. Parking permits will be on sale all year so if your child will get their license later this year, you can buy a permit once they have their license. Please click the link below to purchase a parking permit for the 23-24 school year. Students that have applied for the parking permit and paid the $30 fee, can pick up their pass in the main office any day this week between 9:00 and 3:00.
Just a reminder that ABSS has a clear bag policy for all athletic events. Please make sure that if you plan to bring a bag into any athletic event the bag must be clear. Thank you in advance for your help with this policy.
Breakfast and lunch are not universally free for all students. If you would like your child to eat meals at school, you will either need to put money on their online account or you will need to secure a free/reduced lunch status by filling out the required form. The form is available in the office or you can fill it out online: https://www.lunchapplication.com/
