We are excited to announce that the Alamance-Burlington School System Board of Education has approved the hiring of Mr. Tony Aguilar as the Head Football Coach at Southeast Alamance High School.
Coach Aguilar will be returning to the Alamance-Burlington School System as he taught at South Mebane Elementary and Eastern Alamance High School for over 20 years. Most recently, Coach Aguilar has been the head coach at Eastern Guilford High School. During his tenure at Eastern Guilford, the Wildcats had a record of 27 wins and 16 losses. This fall the Wildcats advanced to the West Region Semifinals in the NCHSAA 3A State Football Playoffs. In 2021, Coach Aguilar was named the Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference Coach of the Year.
Prior to his time Eastern Guilford, Coach Aguilar served as the Offensive Coordinator at Eastern Alamance for 15 years, helping build the Eagles into a conference and state title contender each year, while also building the Eastern Alamance lacrosse program from the ground up.
Coach Aguilar stated, “I am very excited for the opportunity to be the first Head Football Coach at Southeast Alamance High School! Building a strong football program that centers on hard work on and off the field will be a top priority. We plan to be community centered and making our game atmosphere an exciting one for our Stallion fan base! My family and I are grateful to be back home.”
