SAHS Fall Blood Drive
THIS FRIDAY, October 20th from 9 to 2
- Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and or platelets.
- Blood and platelets cannot be manufactured; they can only come from volunteer donors.
- One donation can help save more than one life.
- A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 units of blood.
- The average red blood cell transfusion is approximately 3 units.
Who can donate:
Healthy adults who are at least 17 years old, (16 with a signed consent from a legal guardian) and at least 110 pounds.
Where can I sign up:
- During Patriot Time.
- Health Science 2 Students will be coming to a classroom near you with appointment opportunities. All staff members will receive priority appointments.
