The Lion Cub Lingo for this week is: Compare and Contrast. Contrast means to find differences among things. Compare means to find similarities among things. Let’s think about the weather. How would you compare and contrast winter and summer weather, or fall and spring weather?

Our Lion Cub Leaders are ready to learn more about and celebrate the accomplishments of African Americans during Black History Month! We are learning something new everyday during morning announcements and on Monday, Black History Trivia will begin! #lioncubsleadtheway 🖤💛

There were great things happening around campus this week! Purposeful small group instruction, cooperative learning, students using their resources during independent practice, evidence of PLC collaboration, and strong direct instruction to name a few! #lioncubsleadtheway🖤💛

Our Lion Cubs are leading the way with with our “Four Houses, One Heart” Service Learning Projects. Students in PK-5 have been gathering donations to support the animal and homeless shelters, food pantries, and the Ronald McDonald House! #servicelearning #lioncubsleadtheway🖤💛

When students are able to choose their reward it is empowering for them. Kasien, a 1st grader, chose lunch with Mr. Bryan as his reward! These two had a great time and enjoyed talking about sports, Michael Jordan, and the beach! #studentchoice #lioncubsleadtheway🖤💛

Four Houses, One Heart: Service Learning Projects We are kicking off our Service Learning Projects so we can learn and grow as leaders by giving back to our community! Please bring your items and turn them into your homeroom teacher!

What to Expect: Meet the Superintendent; Light Dinner Provided; Child Care (Pre-K through 5th grade); Many Session Topics to choose from! Students in Mrs. Haynes’ 4th grade ELA block were collaborating to successfully complete an Escape Room. They practiced and reviewed their standards from the 2nd nine weeks. Students were engaged and excited as they experienced success during this review! #lioncubsleadtheway🖤💛
