March was absolute madness in Mrs. Russell’s classroom. In the end a champ was named and 🍩🍩🍩 were won! Rounds included research, campaign posters, mud slinging, and a final class debate to determine the winner! 💪

Today is ABEC Thrift Day! 👕 Our Students donated 1000 items and doubled the goal! Students who donated clothing items received tickets to come and shop! All of the many leftover items will be donated to a local homeless shelters. Way to go ABEC! 💪

We are so proud of 9th grader, Addison Cook! Over her Spring Break, she traveled to our nation’s capital to become an ambassador for the Tourette Association of America and spent time advocating for more resources and programs for students with Tourettes. Way to go Addison! 💪


Spring Break 2025 for ABEC has come to an end… 31 students, parents, and staff are back from a week long adventure in beautiful Costa Rica! 🇨🇷 Pura Vida!




The 10th Graders had an awesome day in Greensboro today. We experienced the International Civil Rights Museum, lunch in the park, and a campus tour of A&T University! Thank you to all those involved that allowed our students to have this enriching day!




Tonight ABEC Freshman participated in our Annual ABEC TED Talk Symposium where each student gives a 5 min speech on a topic of their choice. We are so proud of our students for being so prepared & professional, & thank you to all our friends who came to listen !








Dr. Fliehman and Mrs. Williams brought the “Love Train” around to staff today filled with sweet snacks! We appreciate our staff at ABEC and are so grateful for the kindness shown today and everyday! ❤️
