ABSS Early College @ ACC is a cooperative innovative high school whose goal is to produce high school graduates with two years of college credit-earning an Associate's degree, a diploma and/or a certificate. The school is located on the campus of Alamance Community College. Please call us at 336-506-4001 for more information about ABSS Early College @ ACC.
Our cooperative innovative high school is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction. Early College students apply for admittance in the fall of their 8th-grade year through the school system. The program's primary goal is to graduate its students with an associate's degree, certificate or diploma within the four years of high school. Students in both programs must take a minimum of four courses each semester.
The Early College program is designed to provide students with challenging, engaging courses and college credit in a smaller learning community that enables each student to reach his or her full potential.
Early College students are assigned a Chromebook their freshman year for use throughout their high school experience. Teachers design their instruction with the use of technology as a key component. All teachers have Smartboards, laptop computers, and document cameras.
