From Forrest Gump and Lieutenant Dan to Alvin and the Chipmunks, we had so many incredible ideas today for Character Day! To top it off we were led by a Fairy Godmother Principal today 🪄

We kicked off spirit week with “Anything but a backpack Day” and our kiddos were so creative! Here’s the lineup for the rest of the week: Tuesday - Character Day (movie, book, show) Wednesday - PJ Day Thursday - Costume Day Friday - Fall Colors Day

Last night the ABEC Ambassadors participated in ACC’s Trunk-or-Treat event for the community. They had a great time wishing the Trick-or-Treaters a Happy Halloween! 👻 🎃

The ABEC Key club spent a gorgeous fall weekend at Carowinds! 🎢

ABEC Cobras love to serve! 💪 Some of our incredible kiddos pitched in this weekend at the EM Yoder Fall Festival! 🎃

Our students enjoyed an incredible college fair hosted by ACC today! Students were able to talk to schools from all over the country that they are interested in attending!

ABEC Hiking Club enjoyed a beautiful Saturday morning at Cedar Rock Park today! 🥾💪

Our Visiting Speakers Series kicks off today for the school year with Dr. Erica Thomas discussing college and career pathways for students interested in the broad field of Public Health. 🎉

Our ABEC P.A.L.s are already out in the community serving our little scholars in ABSS! Tonight they helped with Alexander Wilson’s Open House and Monday morning they will be at Sylvan bright and early to greet students on their 1st Day! 📚

Club Fair today at ABEC! Our students are so involved and we love it! Be sure to sign up for a club if you haven’t already! 🐍

ABEC students showed up bright and early on their Saturday morning to mulch, clean, plant flowers, and move furniture at Sylvan Elementary! 💪

It has been a whirlwind of a first week for sure! Last week we were so grateful to have Dr. Harrison stop by! He even dropped by Mrs. Barger's AP Government class to discuss the importance of being involved in local politics!

Our class of 2024 is off to great things! Many of our former students are moving into college this week! We wish you all the best and are so proud of you! ❤️

Guess who’s back? The Cobras are back! 🐍 Principal Fliehman and staff were in the halls greeting and guiding students to class on their first day. Things are off to a great start here at ABEC! #ABSSBacktoSchool
