They showcased their poise and professionalism in front of volunteer interviewers from our amazing #ABSSCommunity. 👏 A huge thank you to all the ABSS staff, Board Members, ACC staff, and parents who dedicated their time as professional interviewers. The Alamance-Burlington Early College (ABEC) is an incredible learning community whose motto is "Individually driven, better together." This close-knit family of Cobras 🐍 comprises students from all zones of the school district, bringing diverse perspectives to every class. At ABEC, learning takes place at the highest level, with students persevering and striving for personal growth through the collaborative spirit between teachers and students. The care and compassion shown within the ABEC community and towards others is exceptional. This year, ABEC students and staff initiated the P.A.L.S mentoring program, provided school supplies to elementary schools, organized a speaker series, volunteered at community events, participated in food drives, and more. Remarkably, these driven Cobras excel academically while balancing jobs, service, athletics, extracurriculars, and other commitments. ABEC is the real deal, a special place where students and faculty rally together to achieve greatness. Let's hear it for ABEC! 🎉

Ms. Kobos’s 10th grade EPF students were able to explore bankruptcy as well as a first hand account of the journey through law school with their guest speaker, Cameron Huffstutter! Congrats on earning your law degree in just a few weeks from Campbell University! 🎉

Today all of our ABEC students enjoyed an ice cream treat in celebration of their Attendance Award from Central Services! Just another great day to be a Cobra! 🍦 🐍 🎉

ABEC’s SGA partnered with ACC’s SGA to collect over 300 school supply items for two local ABSS elementary schools so their teachers and students could end the school year with materials they may need.  We are proud of our ABEC Cobras and our partnership with ACC! 📚 ✏️ 📕

Our first ABEC trip abroad was an incredible way for 74 staff, students, and family members to spend Spring Break 2024. WE traveled across Europe for 9 days exploring Rome, Florence, Verona, Austria, and finished in Munich, Germany! 🛫🌎🇮🇹🇦🇹🇩🇪

We have an update on the Spring Break travels of our ABSS Early College at ACC students! 🇮🇹 🇩🇪 🏛️ Over the past week, they have been embarking on an educational journey through the historic sites and cultural wonders of Italy and Germany. From the grand Colosseum and Roman Forum to the breathtaking Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, our students are experiencing these world-famous landmarks and works of art firsthand in a way that vividly brings their classroom lessons alive. 🕯️This trip also provides moments of reflection, as our students pay respect at Dachau and connect their Holocaust studies to the powerful realities of the past. Coupled with visits to a Bavarian castle and the streets of Romeo and Juliet, it is a wonderful opportunity to broaden their global perspectives. 📷 We can see them here in front of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City and the Colosseum in Rome - memories to cherish for a lifetime! Safe travels, adventurers!
