Week 13: Lion Cubs Leaders are ready to show what they know!
Our Lion Cub Leaders have been hard at work demonstrating standards mastery and leadership skills in their classrooms and all around our school community. We would like to congratulate Ms. Realini and Scarlett Webb on being named our Lion Cub Leader staff and student of the month for November/December. Way to go Lion Cub Leaders!
On Monday, we will begin our "Winter Spirit Days". We look forward to seeing the school and holiday spirit all over the building. We are so proud of the leadership skills we see growing on campus every day!
Super Attendance Week
This week we are going to have a special "Super Attendance Week". Our goal for our school this year is to have 93% attendance. For month of November we finished at 92.7% and while that is close to our goal, we still have work to do! How can you help us reach our goal? By having your students at school every day, on time, and all day. Every minute counts! For "Super Attendance Week", students who are in school on time will receive 5 House Points from their classroom teachers. Whose class, grade level, or House will earn the most attendance points this week? We know our Lion Cub Leaders are up for the challenge!
NC Check-Ins 2.0 Testing: 3rd-5th Grade
This week, students in 3rd-5th grade will participate in the NC Check-Ins 2.0 Testing. NC Check-Ins 2.0 are interim assessments aligned to North Carolina grade-level content standards developed by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI). The main purpose of NC Check-Ins is to provide students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders with immediate in-depth action-data and a reliable estimate of students’ current performance on the selected sub-set of content standards.
Below is our schedule for testing. If you have any questions about the NC Check-Ins 2.0, please reach out to your child's teacher or Mrs. Hamilton.
Tuesday 12/5: 4th Grade Reading
Wednesday 12/6: 3rd and 5th Grade Reading
Thursday 12/7: 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Math
Friday 12/8: 5th Grade Science
