Good afternoon GHS families. We hope the last couple of days have been wonderful and everyone was able to connect with family and friends. Any students that are interested in attending Saturday School, please complete the interest link https://forms.gle/gHnpzpkPmPyBSf3y8 GHS will utilize this time for remediation, AP review, ACT Prep, Apex and reteaching classroom concepts. Transportation will be offered on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, each month. Students and families will be notified once Saturday sessions begin. This week during Red Time, we will have on-site representatives from the Aveda Institute, which specializes in hair and makeup (Monday). On Thursday, Elizabeth City State University will be on campus. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the NC Promise program, which offers tuition as low as $500 per semester to in-state students. Tuesday night GHS will host Eastern Alamance HS beginning at 4:30 PM with our JV boys, followed by varsity girls and varsity boys. Wednesday night at 6PM, our wrestling team will travel to compete again North Moore and Jordan Matthews. Friday our basketball team will travel across town to play Southern Alamance High. Games will begin at 4:30 PM. As a reminder, ABSS has a clear bag policy, for all sporting events. On December 5th, designated seniors will participate in the ACT Workkeys Assessment. This test is a great opportunity for seniors to show all the great skills that they have learned and how they can be applied in the workforce. Dec.11-15th NC Check-Ins (Math 1, Math 3, Biology and English 2 classes)

GHS Families, Good afternoon. We hope everyone had a great weekend. We would like to remind everyone that this week is a short week. School will be in session on Monday and Tuesday. Thank you to Ms. Carotta and the National Honor Society students for organizing the blood drive that took place on Friday. GHS had an amazing turnout. Please join SGA and FCCLA clubs in a Thanksgiving Food Drive in order to provide meals to families in need. The clubs are collecting canned food and boxed foods until Tuesday, Nov 21, 2023. Donations can be dropped off in B1 or the front office. Tuesday evening the GHS PTO will host their monthly meeting at 5:30 PM in the Media Center. All are welcome to join us. We hope everyone has a great week and remember that everyday is a great day to be a Red Devil.

Juniors and Seniors!! Do you have skills? Will those skills help you in the areas of electronics, mechanical engineering, technology, or robotics? Are you interested in being paid to finish high school and attend ACC? Would a guaranteed job after high school be helpful to you? If the answer to any or all of these questions is YES, come to the Career Accelerator Program Information Session where you can be a student apprentice and earn money. This information session will be held for parents and students on November 15th at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium. Student Apprentices are able to earn money on the job as soon as they start the apprenticeship program while also taking college classes at no cost. In fact, students actually get paid for time spent in class. See how you can get a jump start on a promising career, a college degree, and financial stability. Explore the Possibilities in Automotive, Quality Control, Electronics, Plastics, Electrical Systems, Textiles, Robotics, Engineering, Machining, Chemicals and Welding. Attendance at an information session is the first step in creating a solid foundation for your future through the CAP program. See you Wednesday, November 15th at 6 pm.
