Good afternoon GHS families, This is Principal Joshua Brown with some important announcements. Tomorrow, January 12th, is the first day of our state testing exams. The following courses will test. English 2, Math 1, Foods & Nutrition 1 and 2 along with Principles of Family and Human Services.
Students, all final exams must be taken for you to successfully complete the course. Not only do EOC/CTE exams account for 20% of a students final grade, it is also a part of our overall school letter grade. Last year GHS received a school letter grade of a “D”. For all of us, this seems bad. To counter that, Graham High School recently received our state recognition from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, that our students met their projected academic growth. This validates that when students are at school, they are in fact learning and we are reaching our goals. A portion of our letter grade depends on student participation in these important state tests. With this, we need your help to make sure your son or daughter arrives at Graham High School on time at 8:45 AM, for their test.
Students, we want you to do your best. Make sure that you get a good night's sleep tonight. Arrive on time tomorrow. Go to the cafeteria and grab breakfast. Remember that you have worked hard this semester and now is your time to prove it.
Thank you, parents and students for being game changers. We cannot do this alone. As always, everyday is a great day to be a Red Devil.

Lleguen a tiempo mañana.
No podemos hacerlo solos.
