2 things happening tomorrow at AWE:

Fall picture Retakes with Legacy Studios are this Tuesday from 8-12. We WILL NOT be retaking everyone’s photo. This date is reserved for those who missed the original picture date or who have requested their child(ren)’s pictures to be retaken. If you would like to have your child’s picture taken again, please contact your child’s teacher BEFORE Tuesday morning, or call the office to let us know.

Roll-A-Bout Skate Night is this Tuesday from 6-8 pm. This is a CASH-ONLY venue. It costs $5 per person (skaters and non-skaters), and they have a strict dress code policy: absolutely no rips/holes in clothing. They will not admit children/adults with holes or rips in their clothing.

Tomorrow is a fun and exciting day at AWE! 🎉

It’s House Spirit Day! Students are encouraged to show their school spirit by dressing in their house colors (house points will be given for participation). Please remember that any costumes must reflect house colors and may not include masks, fake weapons, fake blood, or toys/accessories that can be lost or played with.

We’ll also celebrate our 1st Quarter Awards tomorrow!

K–2 Awards: 11:00 a.m. in the gym (Guests may enter the gym starting at 10:00 a.m.)

3–5 Awards: 12:45 p.m. in the gym

🎨Calling all elementary artists! 🎨

📚 Alamance County Public Libraries (ACPL) are holding an art contest for a new ACPL Connect card! All artwork will be judged based on creativity, design, and if it meets the theme: 📚📖“Why do you love the library?” 📚📖

⭐Come see Mrs. Webb for a paper copy of the form!
⭐All submissions must be submitted as a hard copy to Mrs. Webb by November 14!
⭐ Mrs. Webb will choose the top three submissions from AWE. One from Kindergarten/1st grade, one from 2nd/3rd grade, one from 4th/5th grade.
⭐Then, out of all the designs sent in to Alamance County Public Libraries, four winners will be selected overall, to win a grand prize from Alamance County Public Libraries.

Did you know that October is National Bullying Prevention Month? Unity Day is the central day of this month, and it’s coming up tomorrow, 10/22. First, wear orange; Your teachers and staff will, too. Extra house point if you participate! The most important thing to remember is that we are celebrating kindness, acceptance, and inclusion tomorrow. Every day is a new opportunity to wake up and ask yourself, how am I going to be kind today? How am I going to include others in my games or at lunch today? How can I show others that they are wonderful just the way they are? That’s what Unity Day is all about. See you in your orange tomorrow!
