Dual Language Kinder Cohort 2025-2026 Interest Meeting
Our interest meeting for the upcoming Dual Language cohort will be held on Monday, February 17th at 5pm in our Media Center. We will highlight the benefits of full immersion, discuss the timeline for applications, and share the lottery process. If you are interested in Dual Language for your rising kinder student but are unable to attend, please reach out to Dr. Westmoreland, and she will be glad to provide you with the information.
Applications are now available. March 14 is the deadline for applications to be turned in to the school offices to be included in the initial lottery. AWE will notify parents via letter/email of the acceptance into the DL classrooms by March 21.

Our PTO Sweetheart Dance is coming up soon!
Our PTO is hosting a “Sweetheart Dance” on Friday, February 7th, from 6-7:30. It costs $2 per child at the door (cash only!) *Sweets, snacks, and drinks will also be available for purchase! Parents/guardians (18+) are required to attend with students.

We are on a 1-hour delay tomorrow. Students can be dropped off at 8:25 in the car line. Bus routes will be picked up about 1 hour later than the normal route.
Eagles Nest (AM) will operate 1 hour later and can be dropped off at 7:30 if they regularly attend.
We will serve breakfast tomorrow.
Awards Day will proceed as scheduled. K-2 at 11; 3-5 at 12:45
We will proceed with our 2nd Quarter Awards Ceremony tomorrow, 1/24, in the gym, even if we have a delay! K-2: is at 11; 3-5 is at 12:45. Please do not arrive before 10.
Students can be signed out from the classroom without penalty following their awards ceremony.

Our AWE Hearing Screening is coming up on January 28th. All Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5 students can be screened. However, you must opt into health screenings in the Parent Portal. If you need help with this, please call or email us. We would love to ensure that we have updated hearing screenings for all our students.
Good afternoon! We just wanted to provide the reminder that when buses are dropping off students in the morning and are stopped, with lights on and the stop sign out, there should be no vehicles that pass the stop sign. Thank you! We hope you have a great long weekend.
McDonald's Spirit Night is tonight from 5:30-8 at the McDonald's in Graham. We hope you will join us. A portion of all sales goes to our AWE PTO.
We have revisited our policy for eating lunch with your child and have decided to provide an opportunity in the spring on a trial basis. Included is the parent letter with all the guidelines and specific dates.
