This is your Proud Principal, Mr. Garrett, with a few important announcements for the week of April 28th, 2025.
Our NC Check-in #3 will take place from Wednesday, April 30th, through Monday, May 5th, 2025. Wednesday will be the 8th-grade Life Science Check-in, Thursday will be the Reading Check-in, and Monday will be the Math Check-in. Parents, please ensure that your student brings their Chromebooks to school on Tuesday so that they can be charged and ready to go for our Check-ins. We want students to get plenty of rest and do their very best, as the Check-in data will be beneficial to teachers during the final stretch before EOGs.
On Thursday, May 1, 2025, Kernodle Clinic is sponsoring free physicals at Eastern High School for any student-athlete interested in obtaining an updated physical. You must bring a completed history and waiver form (in Spanish) when you arrive. Every site is open to all ABSS middle and high school students. Additional dates are May 8th at Graham, May 15th at Southern, and May 22nd at Southeast High Schools.
On Monday, April 28th, our Softball team will host Western Middle as a Makeup from April 8th, 2025. The game will be played at Eastern and is scheduled to start at 4:15 pm. Tuesday, April 29th, our Girl's Soccer team will host Broadview Middle. Wednesday, April 30th, our Baseball team will host Turrentine Middle. On Thursday, May 1st, our Girls' Soccer team will host Graham Middle. The Softball game originally scheduled for May 1st has already been played as a doubleheader.
