WAMS Weekly Update - 2/2/25

February 2, 2025

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend and had the chance to enjoy some of the warmer weather and sunshine. As we move into the next few weeks, we have a busy schedule ahead with several important events and updates to keep everyone on track. Please continue reading for the latest information on upcoming activities, reminders, and ways to stay engaged with our school community.

February also marks the beginning of Black History Month, a time to recognize and appreciate the many contributions African Americans have made throughout our history. It is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements and impact of individuals who have influenced our nation in many fields, including science, education, business, sports, and the arts. We encourage families to take time this month to explore and celebrate the rich history, accomplishments, and stories of those who have helped shape our country.

National School Counseling Week: This week, we celebrate National School Counseling Week, a time to recognize the vital role school counselors play in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth. At Western Alamance Middle School, we are incredibly grateful for Ms. Lombard, whose dedication and commitment make a difference in the lives of our students every day. Ms. Lombard works tirelessly to provide guidance, encouragement, and resources to help our students succeed. Whether assisting with academic planning, offering support through challenges, or simply being a trusted voice.

Please join us in thanking Ms. Lombard for all she does to support our students, staff, and school community!
