Good afternoon Western Alamance Middle School families, this is Principal Aaron Acome.
I want to begin by thanking you all for your flexibility and understanding as we’ve navigated calendar changes this month due to winter weather. Your support during these unexpected adjustments has been tremendous.
We are looking forward to welcoming our students back for what we hope will be our first full week of school in quite some time! Our new roof project will begin on Monday weather permitting. The process will take between 6 and 9 weeks to complete.
PTO
The PTO will be hosting an all school dance on Friday, February 7 from 5:30-7:30. Students attending the dance must leave campus and return during dance times. Admission is $5. Concessions will be sold during the dance. In order to make this event a success we need donations of drinks, chips & candy. We will need a large number of parent volunteers the night of the dance. Tickets will go on sale January 30 during lunch. Permission slips will be sent home on Monday, January 27. Permission slips must be signed in order for students to attend. Tickets will be sold January 30-February 6. No tickets will be sold the day of the dance. In order for students to attend, they may not have a lunch balance greater than $30. Dress to impress!
The PTO will be hosting a faculty/staff/student basketball on Thursday, February 20. Admission is $5 and tickets will be sold at the door. Concessions will be sold. https://tinyurl.com/2025WAMSDance

Yearbook:

Photo Release- If you have not completed the photo release form in PowerSchool for your student, please complete the form as soon as possible. If this has not been completed, your student will not be pictured in the yearbook and in other school media (ex. Website, social media, etc.).
