Good afternoon WAMS families, this is Principal Aaron Acome. I hope everyone has had a great weekend. 

NC Check Ins:

This Monday, November 18 and Tuesday, November 19, we will administer the Reading and Math  NC Check-In to all 6th - 8th grade students. Check-Ins are interim assessments aligned to North Carolina grade-level content standards developed by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI). The main purpose of NC Check-Ins is to provide students, teachers, and parents with immediate data and a reliable estimate of students’ current performance on the selected content standards. It is extremely important that your student arrives at school on time with a fully charged computer Monday and Tuesday to ensure that our test administration is not interrupted.

Car Rider Line:

In an effort to decrease time waiting in line for your students after school.  Please write your students grade level number on your car rider card.

Band:

The band will be in the Burlington Christmas parade this upcoming Saturday, November 23rd! Parade practice for all students in band will take place from 3:30 to 5:00 this Thursday, November 21st. Parents, please make arrangements for students to be picked up by 5:15 on Thursday evening. If you have any questions about the parade, please check your email for a message from Mr. Babb or send him any questions you may have.

Fall Make-Up Picture Day:

Make up Picture Day is Monday, November 25.
