Of the 179 cases of pertussis reported in 23 North Carolina counties between December 2011 and the first week of June 2012, 122 of those cases were in Alamance County.

For a limited time, the health department has free walk-in clinics available for Tdap vaccinations from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 336-227-0101.
