Hello Sylvan Blue Jay Family!
I am so excited and honored to join you for the 2024-2025 school year and I look forward to watching our Blue Jays learn, grow, and soar up to their highest potential this school year.
To share a little but about myself, I have always lived in Alamance County and attended schools in ABSS. I received my Degree in Elementary Education from Greensboro College, my Master of Education in Administration & Supervision from Liberty University, and additional licensure as a Curriculum & Instruction Specialist through Meredith College. I am currently working towards earning my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at UNCW.
My career in education began in 2004 as an English as a Second Language teacher assistant at Andrews Elementary. I later transitioned to classroom teaching, spending nine years instructing third grade and kindergarten at Andrews and second grade outside of ABSS. I have served as a regional teaching and learning coach, supporting beginning teachers before taking on my last role as Assistant Principal at Haw River Elementary.
I'm excited to bring my experience and passion for education to Sylvan Elementary. As a product of ABSS, I understand the importance of strong leadership and community engagement in our schools.
