Please be reminded that it is very important for all students to be on time for school. Parents no longer need to walk their child into the school building in the morning. Your child can arrive to school as early as 7:20 a.m. Students will be considered late if they arrive after 7:50 a.m.

Here are directions on how to enroll your child for the 23/24 school year. If you know your log on information for your Parent Portal Account. It is important to do the forms, so your child will be placed in a classroom. Please log on and sign under Guardian log on. Here is the link you need to sign on to the parent portal: https://abss.powerschool.com/public/.
If you are unsure of your username or password. Please see link below to reset them. After receiving the information, please keep it where you can find it. Remember, Andrews will not send out progess reports or report cards throughout the school year. You will also us this information every year to enroll your child until they graduate high school. After using the above link, you should get an email with 24 to 48 business hours with the information.
Thank you parents that have already submitted your 23/24 forms found on the Parent Portal. There are still 161 forms that have not been submitted. Remember, your child will not be scheduled in a class unless the forms are submitted. If you have questions, please call the school. We want everyone in a classroom so students can meet their teachers.
Andrews Families, Students first day of school is September 5th. Meet the Teacher will be rescheduled. More information will be coming soon.
Thank you to the parents that have logged on to the parent portal and enrolled your child for the 23/24 school year. Your child will be placed in a classroom before meet the teacher and placed on a bus. If you have not signed onto the parent portal yet, please do so before August 16th. This is to insure your child has been placed in a classroom and on a bus If it is not done before the 16th, a bus can not be guareented for the first day. It could take several weeks to get your student on a bus.
Work is progressing on mold remediation at both Andrews Elementary and Newlin Elementary. In an effort to ease any concerns, we talked with Environmental Investigator Scott Sumner about the comprehensive cleaning underway. Andrews Summer School will be held from July 25 through August 10, Monday through Thursday. Summer School will be held at Eastlawn, 502 N. Graham Hopedale. Hours for K-1 8:00 to 11:30. Hours for 2-3 8:00 to 3:00. Students may not be dropped off until 7:50.
Good evening, Andrews Parents. Please make sure you go onto the parent portal and fill out all forms, so you child will be registered for the 23/24 schhol year. If the forms are not filled out you child will not be scheduled for classes until the forms are completed.
First Baptist Church on Apple is providing FREE lunch during the summer for all ABSS students. Lunch will be served in the Annex Building of First Baptist Church on Apple, Monday-Friday from 12:00-1:30p.m. while students are out for summer break. For families with children of all ages. Alamance County Public Libraries in partnership with the Graham Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting “¡Encuentra tu Voz! Summer Reading Kick-Off Fiesta,” A Latinx cultural festival for families with children of all ages. SECOND GRADE PARENTS ONLY: Test results from the Naglieri General Abilities Test went home with second grade students today. If you have any questions about the assessment or your child's scores, please contact Mrs. Estes, AIG specialist: 336-570-6170.
Monday is a holiday, students return Tuesday. End of Grade testing is May 31st, June 1st, and June 2nd for third, fourth and fifth grades. Please ensure your student is on time and in attendance for the state tests. Thank you!
