Smith Elementary Weekly Update
Weekly Update June 5th
It is hard to believe that our last week of school is here! We have a lot going on so please read carefully and don’t miss out.
If you have a rising fifth grader who is interested in serving as a school safety patrol for the 2023-2024 school year, completed applications are due on Monday.
If your child was out during our End of Grade tests, makeups begin tomorrow. Please make sure your child is at school as we only have a few days left to complete testing.
Tuesday, at 9 am in the gym is our Awards Assembly for students in first through fifth grades. If you have a student who will be recognized, we hope you will make plans to attend.
Thursday is our Fifth Grade Celebration at 9 am in the gym. This is a special time for our fifth grade students and we hope families of our fifth graders are making plans to attend. End of Year classroom parties will be on Thursday afternoon too.
The last day of school is Friday, June 9th. We will be dismissed at 11:30 am. Please make sure you know how your child is getting home.
You should have received a reminder about school debts on Friday afternoon. Please help us by handling the money owed to the school for breakfast, lunch and/or library books. All accounts have to be paid before the end of the year.
