Smith Elementary Weekly Update
Week of May 22nd
There is a lot happening between now and the end of the year. Please make sure you are staying connected by reading emails, checking our website and social media, and checking students’ backpacks. We do not want anyone to miss out on our end of year activities!
This Wednesday our Safety Patrols will attend a special outing beginning at 11 am. Please make sure your safety patrol student comes to school dressed appropriately for outdoor activities.
Wednesday night is our end of the year orchestra concert for 4th and 5th grade orchestra students. The concert will take place at Williams High School in the auditorium. Students should arrive at 6:30 pm, and the concert will start at 7:00 pm. Students should be dressed in their black and white concert attire. An adult needs to be present for each student during the entire performance. Please also make sure that your child has their name on every instrument case. On Friday, our students will begin End of Grade Testing. Friday our third graders will take the Reading test. Please make sure your student goes to bed early Thursday evening, has a good breakfast, and arrives at school on time. While we realize Friday is the day before a long weekend, it is very important that all third grade students are present for this state test. Thank you for your help!
