All members of the Class of 2024 need to be on campus and in the meeting next Monday so they can receive the catalog and order form from Herff Jones reps. Make sure you place your order in DECEMBER as the price will increase in January and continue to every 2 weeks.

Last Thursday (November 30th), our chapter of the National Honor Society had the pleasure of inducting three new members. Congratulations, Keyshawn, Sandra, and Daniel!

Last Monday (November 27) many of our Cavaliers had the chance to tour UNC-Charlotte and hear about the wonderful academic programs and opportunities the school offers to its students. We hope that more students will go on our next college campus tour!
Congratulations to our new inductees into the National Honor Society who were inducted on Thursday night, and shoutout to all of our current members. You truly exemplify Character, Service, Scholarship and Leadership. We are proud of you!

The Class of 2024 will be placing orders for their caps & gowns on Monday, December 18th during their lunch period. Be advised that there is a $50 deposit needed to place the order.
They will receive the order form & catalog during our class meeting on 12/11.
We had a record turnout for our Career Apprenticeship Program (CAP)
Meeting! Industry representatives explained how students could earn money on the job as they start taking college classes at no cost towards their Associates in Applied Science. Students had a lot of great questions and learned more about this exciting opportunity!
We had a great time celebrating our students who made Honor Roll and had perfect attendance for the first quarter of our school year! Way to go, Cavaliers! #secondtonone

Our Senior Class meeting with Chris W., our Herff Jones representative, will be held on Monday, December 11th during Cavalier Time. Please make sure you are here and attend. More information is shared with you in the Google Classroom Class of 2024!
Join us as this Thursday our students showcase the projects they have been working hard on. Experience the creativity and academic achievements of Cummings High School students through their science experiments, models, and designs!
Interested in a career in health science, but don't know where to start? We have an opportunity to give you a leg up! On December 1st ACC is hosting 20 of our students interested in careers in Dental, Nursing, EMT and Medical Assisting. This trip is for students in all grades. They will tell underclassmen how to enroll in CCP classes while in high school and for our upperclassmen they will explain how to get accepted into these programs after graduation and what they need to be doing to make their applications successful. The trip will have some hands-on experiences to help you decide if these careers are what you really want to do in the future. Permission slips are available outside Room 103 or in the main office. They must be returned to room 103 and are on a first come first serve basis. Once the 20 spots are filled we will start a waiting list.
We appreciate all of our teachers' hard work day in and day out. We took the time recently to spread some joy and provide snacks! Thank you to all of our teachers for everything you do. You are truly "Second to None!"
If you're thinking about taking college courses but you are also interested in hands-on training, the Career Accelerator Program may be perfect for you! Please join CAP representatives next Wednesday to hear more about the program!
