Today our World Language/ESL Department held a special celebration in the school's media center for Spanish Language Day. A number of our students actively participated in this event through presentations on different countries, dance, music and face painting.

All ABSS rising 6th graders are invited to attend 4 jam-packed, fun, and engaging days at their assigned Middle School for 2023-2024! Light breakfast, lunch, and transportation are provided. Alert: We wanted to inform you that there was a small fire in one of our science labs today at CHS following a science experiment. The fire dept. quickly responded and extinguished the fire. We are happy to report that everyone is safe and there was no major damage to the building.

We're excited to announce that juniors Gabriel Castillo Calderon and Lexi Weaver have been accepted into the Teacher Scholars Program for the 2023/24 school year. Pictured with them is Ms. LaTasha Fonville, Principal. The Teacher Scholar Program is through the Alamance Scholars program. It will have students taking the NC Teacher Cadet courses to prepare for getting a degree in education after high school graduation. Students will get to work in classrooms to determine if teaching is the right choice for them. #StudentCenteredFutureFocused
