We are very sorry for the delay of several students getting home today! We had a sub driver that did not have the addresses for several students and did not want to drop them without getting the correct address from the school. all students should be on their way home at this point thank you for your understanding.

GPE families,
Our Field days are coming up very soon and we’d like to remind you of a few things. Kindergarten-2nd grade Field day will be this coming Friday, May 12 from 8:30-11:30 and 3rd-5th grades’ Field Day will be on Friday May 19th from 8:30-11:30 in the morning and 1:15-2:15 in the afternoon. Rain dates are scheduled on the calendar if we need them. More information is available on the GPE website (from the GPE page, click "Menu" and then find the "Parents" header. The first link under Parents is titled, "GPE Field Day." On the site you can find all the important information you may need).
During our Field Days, students will be expected to stay with their class and teacher, wear tennis shoes and clothes that can get dirty as well as put on sunblock at home before coming to school. They can bring a water bottle and towel if they are able.
Visitors will need to sign in behind the school and get a nametag to wear while at field day. Please do not go into the office to sign-in for Field Day. If you are planning on going into the school for any reason (lunch visit, classroom visit, etc.), you will need to officially “sign-in” in the office and get an ABSS “visitor’s badge.” If you wish to check-out your student, you must go to the front office and have a staff member call to their classroom for them while you wait in the office. Your student will then meet you in the office area for check-out.
For any questions you may have, you can call the school at 570-6115 or you can visit our “downloads” page.
We hope to see you there.

Grove Park Elementary’s “Bulldog Store” was open for business today. Students have been earning points for good behavior, showing kindness to their classmates, and doing all their school work. Those points turned in to “cash” for fun stuff. Thanks to everyone who donated to the store! #StudentCenteredFutureFocused
