PBIS

PBIS is a process for creating safer and more effective schools. Through PBIS, schools teach and support positive behavior for all students.

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. It is a program that promotes positive behavior. PBIS is based on teaching students the P.R.I.D.E. expectations: Personal Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence.

Students earn Bulldog Bucks for demonstrating our P.R.I.D.E. expectations.  Each month a certain amount of Bulldog Bucks will qualify students the ability to participate in school rewards/events.

To attend these PBIS events students may not have excessive office referrals and have to have the pre-determined amount of Bulldog Bucks.   These students that do not have the pre-determined amount of Bulldog Bucks are provided alternative activities at school and will have intervention around the P.R. I.D. E. expectations : Personal Responsibilty, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence..

*On December 15 or December 16, 2022 Grove Park's students will have the December PBIS Celebration.   On the 15th, 3-5 students will have the opportunity for a celebratory time at Elon University gym for a Women’s Basketball Game. This is sponsored by Elon University.  On December 16th, K-2 students will have the opportunity for a celebratory time that involves: music, dance, Wii games, Board games and karaoke.

For questions about our PBIS December Celebration, please contact your child’s teacher.

As a Grove Park Jr. Bulldog, we will have Pride in ourselves, our school and our community.
