Wildcat Weekly Update Week of November 5th

Good Afternoon Wildcat Families, 

Report cards were emailed to parents on Friday.  Please be sure you are monitoring your child’s progress.  We encourage you to talk with your child about their progress.  

We are now into the second nine weeks of the school year.  Please do your best to make sure your child is on time and in attendance for school. 

Please remember if your child is planning to participate in the school science fair they must turn in their interest form to get their project approved and get the science fair packet.  

On Tuesday, November 7th second grade students will go on their field trip to Camp Chestnut.  

Also on Tuesday evening we have our PTO Skate Night at Roll-A-Bout Skating Center from 6-8pm.  Admission is $5 for skaters and non-skaters.  Half of all paid admissions goes back to support our wonderful E.M. Holt PTO.  

On Wednesday, November 8th our third grade students will have their first nine weeks awards program at 12:30 due to their field trip to the Morehead Planetarium on Thursday.  

We will celebrate the first nine weeks awards with all other grade levels on Thursday, November 9th at the following times.  

9:00-9:30 1st Grade

9:30-10:15 4th Grade

10:15-10:35 Kindergarten

10:45-11:15 2nd Grade

11:15-12:00 5th Grade

If you are planning to attend please plan to arrive in enough time to check in at the front office.  

Friday is a holiday and there is no school for students.  

Looking ahead to next week:  

Monday, November 13th we will have make-up picture day for any students that missed picture day.

Next week, the Book Fair will be open from November 15th-20th  for students to visit and purchase books. 

On Thursday, November 16th we are looking forward to PTO Tile Night from 5-8pm.  The Book Fair will also be open from 5-8pm.
