Wildcat Weekly Update Week of September 17th

We want to thank everyone for a great first week back at school.  As we prepare for this week, I wanted to share a few reminders.

The morning care program opens up at 6:45 for students that are enrolled in the morning program. Beginning on Monday, we will ask cars that are waiting to unload prior to 7:20 to wait behind the sign for the car rider line.  This will allow parents that are dropping off for the morning care program to drop morning care students off at the sidewalk for student safety.

Our staff will move up the car rider line and begin unloading car riders at 7:20.  Car riders should be ready with their bookbag in hand and  ready to exit the car from the passenger side when you pull up to the cone.   Please do not go around other cars that are unloading.   All students should be in their classrooms by 7:50.  If you arrive and the tardy sign is out you need to park and walk your child into school to get them signed in.

Students that arrive between 7:20 and 7:30 will go to the pit and wait to be dismissed to their classroom or breakfast at 7:30.  Beginning this week, kindergarten students should enter through the pit entrance.

In the afternoons, students are dismissed at 2:35. Please be sure to display your car rider tag as you come through the car line.  If you are changing your child’s mode of transportation please be sure to complete the change of transportation form prior to 2:00pm.

This year our classrooms are using Scholastic magazine subscriptions to enhance instruction in the classroom.  The cost for kindergarten through second grade is $7 and the cost for third through fifth grade is $10.  You can pay for your child’s  subscription through the online payment portal under the parent tab on the website.

Looking ahead:

Third grade students will take the Beginning of Grade testing on Tuesday, September 26th.

We will have fall pictures on Monday, October 16th.

These are all of our updates and reminders for this week.  We thank you for your continued support and have a good night.
