Good Evening Wildcat Families,
We are looking forward to seeing our E.M. Holt Wildcats on Monday, September 11th for the first day of school. Please remember that we will be operating on a three hour delay. This means that all students should be in their classroom by 10:50 on Monday. The morning program will open at 9:45 on Monday for students that are enrolled and students will be dismissed to their classrooms at 10:30. Students not enrolled in the before school program may arrive after 10:20 on Monday and wait in the pit area. Our E.M. Holt staff will begin unloading car riders in the car rider line at 10:20.
If you are planning to walk your child into school on the first day, 1st-5th grade should enter through the pit and front entrance area. Kindergarten should enter at the front of the K-1 building.
Parents in an effort to make our car rider line go smoothly in the mornings, please make sure that your child is ready with their bookbag in hand and ready to exit the car from the passenger side when you pull up to the cone. For safety, all students should unload from the passenger side. Please do not go around other cars that are unloading. We know that it will be busy and our children are learning procedures so please drive safely.
In the afternoon, students will be dismissed at 2:35. Please be sure that you display your car rider tag and if you need a car rider tag, let our staff know.
If you have not already completed the Back to School survey posted on the website to let us know how your child is going home, please complete the survey and make sure your child’s teacher knows how your child is getting home on the first day of school. Kindergarten families, if you have not already completed the afternoon transportation survey link on the school website please do so. Kindergarten bus riders must have a parent present for the driver to drop them off in the afternoon.
We know that Monday morning will be busy getting everyone in and settled so we will be hosting an Open House event on Tuesday evening from 4-6pm for all grade levels for you to meet your child’s teacher and visit the classroom.
