Back to School-September 11th

Good Evening Wildcat Families,

Our school is currently undergoing mold remediation efforts and we have been relocated to Southeast High School.  If you need to contact us you can reach us at our regular school number 336-570-6420.

ABSS announced today that school will be delayed until September 11th.  We are looking forward to seeing our E.M. Holt Wildcats on Monday, September 11th for the first day of school.

Please remember the morning program opens at 6:45  and dismisses children to their classrooms or breakfast at 7:30.  Students not enrolled in the before school program may arrive after 7:20  and wait in the pit area.   Our E.M. Holt staff will begin unloading car riders in the car rider line at 7:20. All students should  be in their classroom by 7:50.

If you are planning to walk your child into school on the first day, 1st-5th grade  should enter through the pit and front entrance area.  Kindergarten should enter at the front of the K-1 building.

Parents in an effort to make our car rider line go smoothly in the mornings, please make sure that your child is ready with their bookbag in hand and  ready to exit to car from the passenger side when you pull up to the cone.  For safety, all students should unload from the passenger side.  Please do not go around other cars that are unloading.  We know that it will be busy and our children are learning procedures so please drive safely.

In the afternoon, students will be dismissed at 2:35. Please be sure that you display your car rider tag and if you need a car rider tag, let our staff know.

If you have not already completed the Back to School survey posted on the website to let us know how your child is going home please complete the survey and make sure your child’s teacher knows how your child is getting home on the first day of school. Kindergarten families if you have not already completed the afternoon transportation survey link on the school website please do so.  Kindergarten bus riders must have a  parent  present for the driver to drop them off in the afternoon.

We thank everyone for your patience and flexibility during this time.
