Ms Daughtry's Pottery Class took a field trip to Seagrove, NC. There, they visited two of the remaining original potter families in the area - the Owen family (Ben Owen III) and the Luck family (Sid Luck). Students got to tour the artist's studios, watch wheel demos, see wood-fired kilns, and learn about the intricacies of pottery glazes. HERE'S A LINK TO HISTORY OF THE AREA
