Good afternoon,
This is Principal Suzanne Simpson with the weekly updates. We are so excited to welcome each member of our EAgle Family to campus tomorrow!
Breakfast/Lunch: Great news! This year all Eastern students will receive free breakfast and lunch. If you wish to purchase additional items, please make sure that you have money in your account.
Bus Information: Students who are planning to ride the bus to or from school can find their bus number as well as pickup/drop off times here. Please be at your bus stop 10 minutes early on the first day.
Back To School Forms: Parents, have you filled out your student’s Back to School forms yet? It's simple and quick. It is important that you take time to update these forms each year.
How to locate them:
Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal
Click “forms”
Complete all the listed form
Car Rider Information: Please review the diagram below in order to familiarize yourself with our morning/afternoon traffic pattern. All traffic will have to turn left onto Mebane Rogers Rd between 3:45 and 3:55 each day.
Chromebook Insurance: This year, we are offering families the opportunity to purchase optional insurance for their student(s) chromebook. The cost of the optional insurance is $25. This premium is good for one instance of unintentional breakage (lost or intentional damage is not covered) and will help protect you from higher cost. You may elect when to apply your premium. Once used, the family would have the option to replace the optional insurance premium for an additional $25. For more details, including a list of part replacement costs, click here for the Mobile Learning Handbook. You may use this link to purchase the optional insurance.
Chromebook Checkout: If you have not checked your chromebook out you will be able to do so during 1st and 2nd period tomorrow.
Homeroom: Students should report to their homeroom on Monday. If you do not know who your homeroom teacher is, you can check PowerSchool. There will also be lists outside the media center, cafeteria, and auditorium. Students will receive a copy of their schedule during homeroom.
CTEC, Graham Public Safety, & Graham Welding: All students who have these classes 1st/2nd period should report to their homeroom to pick up their schedule and then to the bus lot to travel to class.
Athletics: Athletic Passes are now on sale! This pass gets you into all home athletic contests for the upcoming school year! Complete this form to register for your pass. Student Passes are $75, Adult passes are $200, Family Passes $350(up to 4) or 400 (5 or more).
Parking Passes: Students who are planning to drive and park on campus must have a parking pass. Please use this link to purchase a parking pass.. Students with outstanding fines from previous school years may not be eligible to purchase a pass. Students who park on campus without a pass are subject to having their car towed at the owner’s expense.
Student Schedules: Schedules are available for students and parents to view in PowerSchool. If you have a schedule change request, please complete this form. All schedule change requests must be made by this Friday. DO NOT email the counselors directly.
Schedule changes are permitted only for the following reasons:
Holes in schedules (no assigned class period)
Juniors/Seniors w/specific graduation requirements
Earned credit in summer school or credit recovery
Erroneously placed in class already passed
Administrative decision
