Good evening Eagle Families,
This is Principal Suzanne Simpson with your weekly updates. Our overall attendance rate is up a bit from last week to 91.3%. Seniors are still leading the way with a 93.1% attendance rate. Tardies to first period are still over 50% of our tardies this week. Please help us by talking to your students about the importance of getting to each class on time.
Congratulations to all of our students who were inducted into the NHS this past week. We are so proud of you! Thanks to the current NHS member, Ms. Waters, Ms. Underwood and Ms. O’Neill for making the induction a success.
As a reminder, Ms. Cushman and Ms. Johnson will be coming to all ELA and SS classes to ensure that students are registered for classes next year. If you do not have a SS or ELA class this semester they will be reaching out to schedule a meeting with you.
The outdoor picnic/patio area will remain closed this week. All students are expected to remain inside the cafeteria during their scheduled lunch.
Students please make sure you are signed up for EAgle time this week.
All juniors will take the ACT on February 27, 2024. Be on the lookout for more information soon from Mr. Hemminger.
Our basketball teams will play at home Monday night in the opening round of the conference tournament. The girls tip off at 6:00 with the boys following at 7:30. Hope you make plans to join us.
Our school currently has a negative lunch balance of almost $7000. At the end of the year, our school will have to pay the negative balance. Paying this money takes away important resources from other things that we may need at the school. Please help us to pay down our negative balance by putting money in your child’s account or by applying for free or reduced meals. The form is available in the office or you can fill it out online: https://www.lunchapplication.c... You can add money to your student’s lunch account online, by clicking this link. Students who have large outstanding lunch balances may not be able to participate in extracurricular activities.
Any 10th-12th grader interested in being a Senate Page between April 29 - June 27, 2024 should click here for more information.
We will be administering the ASVAB test on Friday, February 29th to any 10th-12th grader who is interested. This is a great test for those planning to go into the military or who aren’t sure what they would like to do. Please use this link to sign up.
