I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I want to extend a special thank you to the National Honor Society and their advisor who volunteered their time for campus beautification projects on Saturday. I also want to thank our community partners who made donations of resources and time to allow us to spruce up the campus.
Advanced Placement Testing begins tomorrow with AP US Government and Politics. All students should report to the testing site 30 minutes prior to the start of their exam, 7:30 a.m. for 8:00 a.m. exams and 11:30 a.m. for noon start. If you have questions talk to your AP teacher, or contact AP Coordinator, Shamonna Thomas at Shamonna_thomas@abss.k12.nc.us. AP Psychology and AP Earth and Environmental Science are on 5/2; APES at 8 a.m. and AP Psychology at 12 p.m. AP Computer Science A is 5/3 at 12 p.m.; AP Statistics is 5/4 at 12 p.m.; and AP US History is 5/5 at 8 a.m. It is important that each student arrives on time; exams must start on time.
During the days when AP Testing is taking place, all students who arrive before 8:35 a.m. will need to report to the Gym or Cafeteria only as the Media Center will be used for testing. Signs will be posted on the days testing is taking place to remind students of these locations.
Prom is this Saturday, May 6th at the Mebane Arts Center. The deadline for purchasing tickets and submitting permission forms has passed. Please remember the Student Code of Conduct extends to our prom event. We want all students to have a fun and safe prom experience.
Our Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy is planning a Community Day for 5/13 and would love for you all to come out! Your friends and family are of course welcome as well. The EA Community Day will be May 13th from 11-1 and held in the senior parking lot. There will be many fun games and food trucks available! Overall, it is a fun-filled event for our community. Feel free to come out and have a wonderful time!
The Senior Awards Night Ceremony will be 6/1/23 in the Auditorium at 6pm. We look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of the Class of 2023! Cap and Gown pictures will be on 5/25/23 and a schedule will be share at an upcoming Homeroom and on the Cohort 2023 Canvas page.
