Good evening, Eagle Family!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We have a lot of great news from the past week, so we want to congratulate and celebrate the following:

  • Eastern Alamance had four Governor’s School Selectees! 

  • Envirothon Team success: 2 of our teams will be moving to state level competition!

  • Track: Our men’s team won the County Wide Track Meet! Our women’s team also earned 2nd place. Both teams did very well, with several individuals finishing in 1st place within their events.

  • One of our students qualified for the National FCCLA competition!

  • Our Symphonic Band was selected to participate in the North Carolina School of the Arts Invitational Music Festival in Winston Salem!

Seniors, on Thursday, March 23rd from 4-6pm, Herff-Jones will be on campus to distribute Cap and Gown orders for those who have placed their orders. Pick-up will be in the Auditorium Lobby.

Attention rising seniors, ABSS will be offering two opportunities of interest for rising seniors this summer. There is a free, 3 day camp where students can earn their NECI Basic Communications Credential July 24th-July 26th at Graham High School; 8:30-3:30 daily. In addition, rising seniors are invited to sign up for Discover Your Destiny: Navigating Life After High School. This camp will be July 24th-July 26th at the Career and Technical Education Center; 8:30-3:30 daily. 

All 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students: ABSS Technology Department is going to host a Summer Internship. For students interested in computers, this is a unique opportunity to gain experience in the field of technology and to get paid for your time. To apply go to: https://tinyurl.com/work4tech2...

On April 29th from 9am-Noon, ABSS will host a Health Fair for required school immunizations and health assessments. The Health Fair will be at the Alamance County Health Department.
