South Graham Elementary continued to celebrate acts of kindness with two exciting events this week. First, 49 students who completed their punch cards enjoyed a fantastic Skating Party at Roll-a-Bout. 🛼
Then, it was time to hit the track as 15 students celebrated with some friendly racing competition in Mario Kart. Officer Edwards joined in, though he was hit by a few green shells and put back in 6th place! 🎮
These events showcased our students' dedication to making a positive impact through their acts of kindness. Way to go!
We are thrilled to congratulate our 2024 Classified Employees of the Year! 🌟These dedicated staff members take on diverse and critical roles that provide vital support for the education of our students. We deeply appreciate their hard work. Congratulations!

We are proud to announce the 2024 ABSS Teachers of the Year! 🌟
These exceptional teachers are making a real difference in their students' lives. They care deeply about their students’ growth and success every day. Whether helping a struggling learner find their confidence, making lessons fun through imaginative activities, or supporting students through life's challenges, their student-first commitment is worthy of praise.
Please join us in celebrating them! 👏
The South Graham Elementary Kindness Club 💖 (Nine passionate 4th & 5th graders) teamed up with support staff to organize a "Hearts for Hunger" food drive benefiting local food pantries.🥫 The goal was to collect 1,000 items, rewarded by an ice cream party. In just 4 days, students smashed the goal.
Principal Stamper then upped the goal challenge: collect 3,000 items and she'd come in dressed as a unicorn. 🦄 Challenge accepted - the grand total was 3,352 items! Mrs. Pollock's 2nd grade class alone donated over 500 items. Thanks to everyone's generosity, we were able to share donations with 5 community food pantries and 4 additional school pantries. 🙌
The giving spirit is alive and well at South Graham! This is a great example of what can happen when students come together for a common cause.

Here are more photos from our Kindness Parties. These are for students who were able to show acts of kindness during the first three months of school. Thank you to Mrs. Barger and Mr. Milton for making this a reality.
This year, South Graham staff Kim Barger and Randy Milton started an Acts of Kindness challenge to promote compassion and positive behavior. Students earn "kindness points" for good deeds toward fun celebrations like glow parties and video game tournaments while bonding over stories of making someone's day brighter. Recently, 36 students cashed in their kindness points to attend these uplifting events after filling their punch cards with acts of caring. Equipped with these punch cards at the start of the year, students can visually track the positive impact they are making through good deeds around school. We love to see these junior heroes "leveling up" their kindness and support for one another! #StudentCenteredFutureFocused
It is Holiday Spirit Week!!! Here is the schedule for all the different days until December 20th.
The cafeteria at South Graham Elementary was filled with smiling faces today as students enjoyed a special festive lunch menu. 🦃 This menu was available at all schools and included oven-roasted turkey breast, savory herb stuffing, fresh green beans, creamy mashed potatoes, dinner rolls with butter, tangy cranberry sauce, and warm apple cobbler for dessert. With these delicious options, there were many giving a thumbs-up! 👍 A big shout out to our amazing cafeteria staff at all schools for preparing and serving up this special menu!
Good evening parents, this is Elizabeth Stamper, principal at South Graham. I want to remind parents that students are to walk to their classrooms by themselves. Parents who bring their students to school by car will need to remain in the car rider line that starts on Moore Street. Parents can not park in the gravel parking lot or the front circle. Car riders can enter the school starting at 7:20 and the tardy bell is at 7:50. If you are tardy, we need you to park and come in the school to sign your student in. I also want to remind parents to use their car tags for dismissal. Dismissal will continue to get more efficient if everyone is using their car rider tags. If you don't have a tag, please come by the office. We are so excited for the 2nd week of the 23-24 school year to get under way. Please call the school with any questions.
Parent Teacher Organization Survey is available!!! The link to the survey is linked above with the button that is titled PTO survey.
Three Hour Delay for students on Monday, September 11th. We look forward to having everyone back in the building.
September 11th is the first day of the 2023-2024 school year. Administration and office staff will be at Newlin this week so please come by and check on bus routes or pick up car rider tags. We look forward to seeing everyone back!
Morning and Afternoon Bus Routes are available for the 2023-2024 school year. Please call the school with any questions about the routes.
