When students dance it encourages positive intellectual, physical, and emotional development. It is this growth that makes dance a crucial part of a students education. In dance at North Graham students will be challenged to create, understand, and respond to dance. Through a creative movement curriculum, students will grow an understanding of dance as an art and themselves as an artist. Dance class assist students in growing skills in collaboration, understanding, compassion and creativity. This will empower students to live thoughtful and considerate lives outside the classroom. By fostering an environment where it is safe for students to express themselves, dance class builds positive relationships between peers that extends beyond the dance studio. Dance at North Graham empowers academic and social emotional growth.
