Based on the National Weather Service forecast predicting hazardous winter weather conditions in our area, all Alamance-Burlington School System schools and facilities will be CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th, 2025. This closure includes all after-school activities and events. IMPORTANT CALENDAR UPDATE: Unlike our previous snow days which were covered by built-in hours in our calendar, we have now exhausted those extra hours. As a result, Wednesday, February 19th will be made up on Friday, February 28th. The previously scheduled teacher workday on February 28th will now be a FULL STUDENT DAY.

❤️ Something sweet to start the week! Hillcrest Elementary School hosted its annual 100 Days, 100 Dads event, inviting fathers, grandfathers, community members, and influential role models far and wide to join our students for lunch. As you can see from the photos, there was a huge turnout! The smiles on the students' faces say it all. It means so much to have someone to look up to! Thanks to all our #ABSSCommunity guests who stopped by, including Superintendent Dr. Fleming, Board member Avery Wagoner, and District Attorney Sean Boone! Also shout-out to all the staff who facilitated the big day and our cafeteria staff for serving WAY more than usual. 🤗 📸 Photo credit: Ashley West
