BEJ Updates Header January 5, 2023

Good evening BEJ families.  We hope everyone had a great week.  It was nice having everyone back in the building after a few weeks out of school.  Our teachers and students worked hard to get back into the groove this week by practicing rules, routines, and expectations along with a review of the content learned before we got out.

You may have seen some equipment around the school the past few days.  We have several exciting projects happening at BEJ.  We are in the process of installing two new playgrounds.  In addition, we are working with the Alamance County Parks and Recreation department to renovate the lower ballfield.  They are adding new lights, concession stand, and bleachers.  They will also be adding a new walking track in the near future.  We are very excited to be able to partner with the County to offer another user-friendly option for athletics in the community.

Important Dates

Tuesday, January 9 - Word Nerd Day - Dress up to show a vocabulary word; PTO Meeting @6:00

Monday, January 15 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday - No School for Students or Staff

Tuesday, January 23 - Teacher Workday, No School for Students

Please remember that our school opens at 7:30 each morning, and students need to be in class ready to learn by 7:50.  Dismissal begins each afternoon at 2:35.  We ask that all families drop off and pick up students using the circular drive.  Please have your hanging tag displayed each afternoon.  This helps our afternoon dismissal run more smoothly.

You can use your PowerSchool Parent Portal to check student attendance, grades, and current lunch balance.  If you owe a balance, please send money to the school or use our online payment system.

Families, thank you for all you do to support our school.   We look forward to seeing all of our Tiger Cubs on Monday morning!
