BEJ Updates Header September 29, 2023

Thank you for another successful week of school.  Our students have been busy in classrooms with assessments and learning new skills.    Our 3rd grade students began the week with the Beginning of Year Reading assessment.  While our 4th grade students ended the week with a trip to Raleigh as part of the Social Studies curriculum where they are learning about how our State Government works.  As we go through these next weeks, be sure to ask your children what interesting things they may be learning about, what their favorite moment of the day was, or even what you can do to help them feel successful in school.

Dismissal

Families, we need your help at dismissal.  Please have your car rider tag with the 3-digit number displayed in your window.  When we have to search for numbers, it slows down the line for everyone.  If you need an additional tag, you may request one from the front office.  Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Title I

BEJ is a Title I school.  This means that we receive federal funds to support teaching and learning for all of our students.  As a Title I school, there are a number of federal guidelines that we must follow.  One of these guidelines is sharing information about Title I, Family Engagement, and Parent/Family Rights.  We will be sending home several documents with your child that provide more information about these areas.   If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or Mrs. Drummond.

Lunch

We welcome families to come and have lunch with your children.  However, if you bring lunch from outside food establishments, it will need to be consumed outside of the cafeteria.  You are welcome to use our conference room or picnic tables outside.

We appreciate all you do as our partners in education.  We look forward to seeing all of our Tiger Cubs on Monday morning.

Mrs. Drummond, Principal
