Code can be found almost everywhere we look. Smart devices, stop lights, microwaves, and other technology we rely on requires code to run properly. Think of code as the language of a computer! As part of a collaboration between the Music and Media Specialists, students at Highland Elementary learned about coding through a series of activities during the Hour of Code event. They selected a task and placed "blocks" of code in order to accomplish it. Some tasks require math skills, some connect to science, others music and art, but all require problem-solving and creativity to complete. Try it yourself! https://code.org/hourofcode/overview #HourofCode #StudentCenteredFutureFocused
