The ABSS Board of Education along with Superintendent Dr. Dain Butler named three new staff members following Monday's Board meeting.

Marlene Bennett was named Assistant Principal of Williams High School.  She has served as Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal Intern in Rockingham County Schools and as an Elementary and Middle School Teacher in Guilford County Schools.  Her degrees include a Bachelor in Elementary Education, a Master of Reading Education, and a Master of Clinical Mental Health and Counseling. 

Roderick Pitt was named Assistant Principal of Turrentine Middle School.  Roderick worked as the Athletic Director of Andrews High School in High Point and as the Business and Marketing Educator for both Western and Eastern Guilford High Schools in Greensboro.  He earned his Master of Arts in Executive Leadership Studies from Gardner-Webb University and holds Certifications in School Administration and Business Information Technology Education.

Lessley Brooke Saenz-Mader was named as the Executive Director for the ABSS Exceptional Children Department.  Previously, she worked in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools as the Exceptional Children’s Executive Director, Director of School Support and Regional Supervisor of Guilford County Schools, and Exceptional Children Area Director of Durham Public Schools.  She earned her Master of Special Education from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
