The Alamance-Burlington School System Board of Education has announced the appointment of Ms. Leslie Carriker as the new Assistant Principal of Eastern Alamance High School. The decision was made during the September 10, 2024 board meeting.

Ms. Carriker brings 17 years of educational experience to her new role. Her career began as a high school science teacher in Guilford County, where she spent 11 years in the classroom committed to student achievement and innovative curriculum development.

Throughout her career, Ms. Carriker has held various positions, including her most recent role as Beginning Teacher Coordinator for the Alamance-Burlington School System. Her experience also includes roles as a school curriculum facilitator and district curriculum specialist.

"I look forward to working alongside Eastern educators, students, and families to foster a safe and engaging learning environment," said Carriker. "I am excited to join the Eagle family and contribute to the school's ongoing success."

Ms. Carriker's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science from North Carolina State University, a Master of Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and an Educational Leadership Add-On from High Point University.

As an educator with extensive experience in curriculum development and teacher support, Ms. Carriker brings both professional expertise and a passion for education to her new role at Eastern Alamance High School.
