The Alamance-Burlington School System Board of Education and Dr. Butler announced the appointment of three experienced educators Monday night to administrative positions for the upcoming school year.
Joe Burns, current Assistant Principal at Gaston County Schools, has been named the new Assistant Principal at Southern Alamance Middle School. Burns brings valuable leadership experience from his prior role supporting Gaston County students and staff.
Tonya Jones was hired as the new AP at Woodlawn Middle School. Jones brings extensive experience as both a teacher and administrator, having most recently worked as an Assistant Principal at McMichael High School in Rockingham County.
Scott Walker, a nationally board certified teacher, will take on an Assistant Principal position at Southern Alamance High School. Walker joins ABSS with over 21 years in education, most recently as a Math Teacher at Randolph Early College High School in Asheboro.
