Good Morning PGE Families: Please look at the attached image that defines Truancy, absences that are unexcused per the Compulsory Attendance Law, and Chronic Absences, absences both excused and unexcused, with emphasis on academic impact. As attendance is being monitored, some of our Owls have over 20 plus days of absences(chronic) with no correspondence to the school regarding the absences. Please be sure to reach out to the school and your child's teacher when there is an absence. Notes, preferably doctors, should be returned with your child upon his/her return.
The Pleasant Grove staff are thankful for St. Mark's Church. They treated the staff to a very nice snack.

On Friday, January 20th, bus 45 will not be running the normal morning route. Mr. Alston will be our only driver (bus 25), in addition to the regular late bus (346). Mr. Alston will be picking up students from buses 45 and 25 routes. Due to these routes being combined, times may be slightly off. Please have your child ready early and be patient with us. If you have already spoken to the front office about bringing your child to school, we appreciate your help. This message is for the morning route only. All afternoon drop off times will remain the same. Please call the front office at 336-421-3701 if you have any questions.

Happy Monday PGE Families, This is Mr. Scott, the School Social. I am doing a boys group with 4th and 5th grade boys (Respectful Responsible Boys). The boys decided to do a paper drive for the Alliance Shelter. The paper drive will consist of napkins, paper towels, plastic utensils, and the styrofoam serving plates. The boys will have boxes at both PGE and South Mebane and will be accepting these items from now until November 15th, after which we will deliver to the Alliance Shelter. Your assistance is great appreciated and I am sure Alliance will be grateful for all. I will be sending out reminder periodically and Thanks in Advance!
