Tomorrow we will have Senior Awards Day Practice. All seniors should report to the Little Gym at 10:15.
Decision Day will begin at 2:45 in the cafeteria. Only seniors who completed the Senior Exit Survey can attend.
Thursday is the Senior Awards Ceremony beginning at 9:00 in the auditorium. Parents are invited and highly encouraged to attend. Seniors should report to the Little Gym at 8:30 for line up. You must wear your cap and gown. Please see email from Ms. Lackey for dress code.
Senior participating in the Elementary Walks, report to the bus loop at 1:15. Permission slips are due tomorrow. Students who signed up received an email from Ms. Lackey.
Teacher Made Exams begin next week. All seniors must take their final exams to successfully complete their classes.
Senior Grades are Due Monday, June 3rd. Please communicate with your teachers regarding the due date for assignments to be turned in.
All chromebooks and chargers should be returned to the media center after you complete your last exam. You will not receive your graduation tickets if your chromebook is not returned.

Monday, May 20th we have our Band and Choir Concert at 7:00 in the auditorium.
Tuesday, May 21st will have our School Leadership and School Improvement Team Meeting at 3:45 in the media center. Following the meeting, there will be a PTO meeting at 5:30 in the media center classroom.
Thursday, May 23rd we will have our Art Showcase in the Auditorium Lobby beginning at 4:00. We will also have our Dance Concert at 7:00 in the auditorium.
The last day of school is June 7th. Teacher Made exams are May 29th and May 30th. May 29th is 1st and 3rd Block exams and May 30th is 2nd and 4th Block exams. All teacher made exams dates are regular school days with no RedTime. EOC and CTE state exams will begin Monday, June 3rd. Please check our school website for the Spring Testing Calendar. It will be posted tomorrow.

Wednesday, May 22nd is Senior Awards Ceremony Practice. All seniors should meet in the little gym at 10:15. Decision Day Festivities will also take place on Wednesday beginning at 2:45.
Thursday, May 23 is the Senior Awards Ceremony beginning at 9:00 in the auditorium. All seniors should report to the little gym at 8:30. Wear your cap and gown. Elementary Walks will take place on Thursday. All seniors that signed up will receive an email from Ms. Lackey for specific details.
Seniors please check your email for the Senior Exit Survey sent on May 15th by Ms. Taylor. Completion of the survey is required for graduation. It will also serve as your admission ticket for Decision Day.

Yesterday GHS Foods class collaborated with our World Language department. Ms. Martin (French teacher) lived in France and shared her love of crepes with the Foods class. GHS embraces the cross collaboration amongst our various content areas.

Teacher Made Exam Exemption Policy
High school students may be exempt from a final exam that is not state required if the student meets the criteria below.
A grade of “A” and no more than five (5) absences during the semester
A grade of “B” and no more than four (4) absences during the semester
A grade of “C” and no more than three (3) absences during the semester
Any absences (lawful or unlawful) count toward the limit for exam exemption except school-sponsored field trips, school-approved activities, religious holidays and district-approved medical hardship waivers. All students shall be permitted the opportunity to take the examination, even if they are eligible for the examination exemption. If a student decides to take the examination then the examination grade will count as 20% of their final grade for the course.
Exempted students that choose not to take the exam will determine their final course grade by averaging their two quarter grades equally. In order for us to adhere to this district policy, all assignments that must be graded, have to be submitted by May 24th. Teachers should use the F1 grade. Attendance cut off date will be May 28 th. Absences after May 28th day will not impact the criteria towards the TME exemption.

Last night, the GHS Theatre Department performed a one-act version of Don Zolidis' "The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza" in the Graham High School Auditorium. t The students did an amazing job. Way to go GHS Fine Arts!
Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week
GHS PTO gave the staff a treat. The cater was GHS Alumni Cheryl Carter owner of Lola's Kitchen. Cupcakes provided by Alamance County Commissioner Pam Thompson. Thank you all for the awesome meal and treats. GHS has the best PTO in ABSS!

Tonight was Senior Night for the GHS Women’s Soccer team. They came up short against E. Randolph, however we are proud of their fight and effort. Thank you seniors for the years and dedication to Graham athletics.
